Another Audiomob has gone by, and we have to thank all of you guys for making it happen. We would have liked to see a larger mob, as well as some people watchers on Stephen Ave, but you can only expect so much on a rainy day. Thanks for braving the crap weather on Friday, we really appreciate it!
Doing this event is as much as an experiment for us as it is for you guys. We really like to push and see what a group of strangers are willing to do. Some things turned out really well (mexican standoff), some failed miserably (staring at the non-existent patio people). Some things we’re still not sure (the photo panorama). If you took any photos near the end, feel free to email them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
You might have noticed near the end a group of cookies and a Cookie monster running around. Those guys are known as the Calgary Cookie Chase. They won an Awesome Calgary grant, just like we did a year before (to kickstart the 1st audiomob). We have been in conversation with their crew and we happen to have similar goals of continuing to stir up a ruckus in Calgary and make it a fun place. A few of us Audiomob guys have decided to step back on future activities, and hopefully pass this event on to the Calgary Cookie Chase folks for another year’s event. We have the momentum building, and with a fresh set of ideas, next year will definitely be bigger and better.
Thanks again for your support, we’ll be posting updates over the next few weeks and months with photos and a video! And don’t forget to look at the Sponsors & Credits page, give the musicians who lent us their tunes some love!
