Lots of people have been asking about next years event. Although we are extremely flattered and relieved that our first Audio Mob was a success, our focus was on that one event and that alone. We won’t rule out the possibility for an Audio Mob in 2012, nor is anyone thinking about planning next year’s event at the current moment.
But if you have any ideas that could make the next one even more exciting, feel free to drop us a message. We look forward to hearing from you!
Big thanks to everyone who showed up on Sunday! About 150-200 people showed up and the reviews have been quite positive! We are currently putting together footage of the event to make a little youtube video, so stay tuned. If you have any videos or photos, join our Facebook group and share. Thanks again!

AudioMob YYC is an event that causes hilarity and excitement in the great public spaces
of Calgary. One part flash mob, one part decentralized dance party, and one part Jane’s
Walk. And those not involved will have absolutely no idea what is going on. We need you
to participate to make this a success!
This is what happens:
We will have an MP3 file available for download 1 week prior to the event on
our website
Interested audio mobbers transfer the mp3 to an iPod or any other personal
media player
Those participating will synchronize their watches to the clock we have displayed
on the right sidebar of our webpage to ensure everyone hits play at the same time
Everyone will meet at the starting location with their music players’
At exactly 2 pm, everyone will play the audio file all at once. The narrator will
tell everyone to carry out weird and hilarious instructions, while those not with the program scratching their heads in confusion
We’ll take you to the streets, stores, and public spaces of Calgary. And you might
even learn a thing or two about our awesome city
So save the date. Be a part of the biggest, orchestrated inside joke Calgary has ever seen!
Please share this event WITH AS MANY friends as you can, as the entire success of this event is based on lots of people turning up. We are aiming for at least a 1000 peopleturning up!
